Our Story

Kimberley & Alexander

have the pleasure of requesting your company to join them in celebrating their marriage on Saturday 23rd August 2025atHigh House Please arrive from 1.30pm for a 2pm ceremony. A drinks reception will follow the ceremony before the Wedding Breakfast commences at 5pm followed by evening celebrations. Carriages at 11.30pm. Dress Code Black Tie Gentleman- Tux &amp; Bow Tie preferredLadies- Summertime Glamour. With the exception of the seated ceremony, the rest of the celebrations will be on hard flooring. Whilst we hope for August sunshine and plan to have the ceremony and drinks reception outside - High House will have arrangements to move all celebrations inside if necessary. The Wedding Breakfast Please ensure you include any dietary requirements on your RSVP, or directly to Kimberley &amp; Alex. There will be a choice of Main Course - details to follow soon! Children and Plus Ones Please note that we sadly cannot accommodate children or extra guests at our wedding. We hope you understand and that you can still join in the celebrations! Please arrange all transport for no later than 23:40. It is recommended to book transport well in advance as it is almost impossible to arrange this on the night. All above stations are on the Southminster line from London Liverpool Street. It takes approximately 1 hour 5 minutes from London Liverpool Street, including 1 change at Wickford. It is advisable to pre-arrange a local taxi from each train station to take you to High House. Parking Guests are welcome to leave their cars at High House overnight but must be collected between 8am and 10am the following morning. There will be no access outside of these times. Finding High House Address: High House Weddings, Old Heath Road, Althorne, Essex CM3 6EW High House is located between the Althorne and Burnham on Crouch. When arriving from the direction of Maldon / Chelmsford you will approach High House via the B1010. On passing through the village of Althorne turn left onto The Endway. High House is on the right, approximately one mile from this point and well signposted on arrival. For Drivers &amp; Taxis - when booking taxis and driving to High House please ensure your location is noted as High House Wedding Venue. Unfortunately Google Maps and Sat Nav systems can be unclear as to the exact location and will generally take drivers too far. Please look out for the sign-posted entrance.

It is a quiet, unspoilt riverside town known as the 'Cowes of the East Coast'. The attractive quayside is full of old-world charm with listed buildings, vineyards, and sailing. Burnham-on-Crouch offers a variety of walks, including&nbsp;riverside paths, scenic coastal routes, and walks through local parks and woodlands. Vineyards Althorne is home to some wonderful wineries, including the award-winning Crouch Ridge Estate, which is located next to High House. If you are here for the weekend, these vineyards offer tours and tastings.
